Britons have a lot of travelling to do if they are to visit all of the places that they want to see in their lifetime, according to a recent poll.
The survey, commissioned by independent travel agent sunshine.co.uk, quizzed 1,500 adults about their travels plans and aspirations for the future, compiling a list of the top ten travel destinations that many of us hope to see during our lifetime.
The poll, which was topped by the Great Pyramid at Giza, contained some surprises: at number ten on the list was the Tower of the Palace of Westminster, Big Ben.
Despite Brits being given the option to pick anywhere in the world one Briton in five polled stated they would like to see Big Ben in their lifetime.
The poll results:
1. Egyptian Pyramids
2. Northern lights
3. Taj Mahal
4. Niagara Falls
5. Statue of Liberty
6. Mount Rushmore
7. Grand Canyon
8. Great Barrier Reef
9. Venetian canals
10. Big Ben
