The fact that you don’t have a lot of money saved for travelling doesn’t mean you can’t see the world. Many people think “the world” as only big capitals and iconic sights, but going a bit deeper into the countries will open so many more natural and man-made places numbers of experienced travelers haven’t seen.
You will have a chance to see Paris and London when you become more stable financially, but let me tell you where you can go as soon as next month.
Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Costa Rica is famous for its affordable accommodation and breathtaking nature. You can visit one of the clean beaches with crystal clear water and lots of wildlife to get acquainted with. If you’re not a big wild nature person, you can enjoy the thrill of adventure activities like sport fishing with Tamarindo fishing charters, or paragliding over the beautiful mountains.
Ko Phi Phi, Thailand
Thailand is a gift for young travelers, offering considerable flight and living costs. Main cities like Bangkok are quite expensive and overcrowded, which isn’t so for the Phi Phi Islands. They can offer you serene white sand beaches, mountain peaks, diverse nature, and fresh air. And of course, some of the lowest prices!
Budapest, Hungary
If you want to stick closer to Europe, Budapest is the best choice. Accommodation is incredibly cheap here due to a lot of hotels and hostels made of recently built empty apartments. The city is quite easy to navigate on foot, but transport will also surprise you with affordable rates. Seeing so much magnificent architecture for the lowest prices is something I would opt for.
Kathmandu, Nepal
The capital of Nepal will surprise you with its culture-infused buildings and temples, breathtaking views from the mountain peaks, unique food, and low prices. This might sound unbelievable, but many hotels over here have single-digit fees in US dollars. The more comfortable ones hardly cost over $10. With such a combination of a completely different culture, magical views, and low price, Kathmandu easily becomes a dream for young travelers on a budget.
Bali, Indonesia
It’s a pretty famous place, but somehow is didn’t get at all expensive. Your rest starts once you step out of the plane, and you are able to enjoy yourself a bit more thanks to the low costs of accommodation and attractions. You can find a 3-star hotel for under $20, how amazing is that?
Make sure to choose one of these destinations or even create your own tour if you budget allows it. All these places have completely different sights and vibes, and all of them are worth visiting!
